Via Varejo S.A., together with its subsidiaries, engages in the retail of consumer electronics, home appliances, telephony, and furniture in Brazil. As of December 31, 2019, it operated 1,070 stores under the Ponto Frio and Casas Bahia brand names, as well as 16 distribution centers and warehouses. It also offers products through e-commerce platforms, including pontofrio.com, casasbahia.com, and extra.com.br. The company was formerly known as Globex Utilidades SA and changed its name to Via Varejo S.A. in February 2012. Via Varejo S.A. is headquartered in São Caetano do Sul, Brazil.
